Who are we?
AssureTek is the brainchild of owner Scott Middleton. AssureTek strives to bring the best of computer support to the to the small-medium enterprise (SME). SME's traditionally can not afford professional I.T. support so AssureTek is only a simple phone call away. Scott has over a decade of experience with dealing with the I.T. needs of small businesses backed up by tertiary qualifications.
Why did we change our name!
The main reason we changed our name was due to the ".net.au" part of our domain name. This quite often caused some confusion for people more used to using .com.au. We felt we were losing business and possible contacts.
The ".net.au" domain was traditionally setup to be for Internet Service providers and other Internetworking businesses. This was been diluted over the years to the point that businesses who are unable to get a .com.au settle for a .net.au.
The other reason is that the name Terminus has no relevence to what or how we feel about what we do.
So we came up with AssureTek and the above logo. The logo is supposed to represent "Computer Support" in a type of pictogram format. We wanted a calming, no-nonsense logo and name that more truly represented us. Blue is often a colour used to symbolize honesty and trustworthiness.
The word assure literally means:
- to declare earnestly to; inform or tell positively; state with confidence to:
- to cause to know surely; reassure: .
- to pledge or promise; give surety of; guarantee:
- to make (a future event) sure; ensure:
- to secure or confirm; render safe or stable:
- to give confidence to; encourage.
Our goal is to make all our clients confident in us and their computer system!
